How scoring works
- 50 / 80 / 150 for a drone, weevil or rootkit patched while it is sitting in the formation.
- 100 / 160 / 400 for the same three caught mid-dive. Waiting for them to come to you is worth roughly double.
- 1000 for shooting down the rootkit holding your duck's lock before its timer runs out. It cures the lock on the spot and overclocks your fire rate for a few seconds. Miss that window and the lock just clears itself -- no bonus, but no harm either.
- 200 a wave, times the wave number, for clearing every bug.
- 120 a bug on a regression sweep, plus 3000 for letting none of them past. Every fourth wave is a sweep, and nothing shoots back.
- Three ducks, an extra at 20,000 and every 60,000 after that. The run ends when the last one goes.
Every run posted here is replayed on the server from its seed and its keystrokes before it is counted, so a score is something the server works out rather than something the browser claims.
